WIDGETS

Widgets are set of features we can overlay on top of a Branded Player, to add interaction to it. They are created using HTML, CSS and Javascript code to function, therefore they can’t be included within a .mp4 file. Instead, the creative is delivered as a .zip archive.

This is only available in the cases, when the creative is hosted on our Create platform. We can’t share a working final file that includes widgets to the client to host themselves.

Sometimes when running a Programmatic campaign, due to publisher issues VPAID type creatives (Branded Player + Widgets) might not run well. In such cases a fallback option is to run a mp4 Branded Player (VAST) creative instead. This will lose the interactive functionality that is offered by widgets, but it can run smoothly across all DSPs and SSPs

In such case, the creative production will most likely need to step back to right after mockup phase, and would need to be re-created. That can take up to additional 1-2 days, depending on workload.
